The 2020 summer tour has been put on hold until further notice and we apologize for any inconvience.
Every summer, GW CI sponsors a group of current and prospective GW CI students and current GWU students on an educational tour of 3 major Chinese cities for the purpose of promoting the learning of Chinese language and culture. Participants get to experience China firsthand by learning Chinese calligraphy and Tai'chi in Nanjing, petting baby pandas and enjoying famous street food in Chengdu, visiting the Terracotta Army in Xi’an, and so much more.
This is a fantastic opportunity for students to explore China firsthand, who would lack the financial means otherwise, since all in-country expenses are covered by GW CI. GW students, GW CI students, and GW EAP Instructors have all been benefactors of this trip and gained a much deeper understanding of Chinese language and culture.

“Definitely my greatest experience through the GW CI, which was a phenomenal experience. A group of us went together, spent 2 weeks, saw 3 cities, so many attractions, so many sites...It’s a great opportunity you should not pass up.”
