Subdivision: Global Initiatives (GI) - GW Confucius Institute

Hours & Pay: 10 - 20 Hours Per Week / $15 Per Hour


The primary responsibilities of this position are to provide administrative support and resources for GW CCAS’s global education programs, on campus and abroad.


Basic Duties:

This position is responsible for all photography, videography, graphic design and other digital media needs.

  ● Serves as photographer and photo editor for events and activities hosted by GW CI.
  ● Serves as videographer and editor for promotional and educational videos.
  ● Responsible for all the digital photo assets including GW CI’s archive photo materials.
  ● Designs or edits promotional materials such as posters, brochures, booklets and annual report.
  ● Other tasks as assigned


Technical Requirements:

Successful candidates should possess knowledge, skills and experience as follows:

  ● Experience shooting different styles of photographs including but not limited to: indoor/outdoor events, portraiture, news-type coverage and candids.
  ● Skills and knowledge in video/photo editing.
  ● Knowledge of still/video camera equipment and settings.
  ● Knowledge and experience with lighting for still and video environments.
  ● Knowledge of sound recording.
  ● Experience in graphic design.
  ● Knowledge of printing a plus.
  ● Knowledge of stock photo license, copyrights of photos and other legal permissions a plus.
  ● Advanced skills with the following software: Photoshop, Lightroom, PremierePro, FinalCutPro. InDesign a plus.
